The author, Delaney Spellman, thought of the title while out and about with her niece, Addison. During one of their adventures, someone expressed how devoted and playful she was with Addison. Her response, “That’s what aunts do.” Aunts are placed in little lives to bring comfort and excitement. This book was written as a reminder for the audience. Family is supposed to care for one another. Family builds each other up. We all need to remember the impact we can and will have on the lives of others. We must love and nurture the children in our lives.
