The author, George Watts, CCM, LEED AP, BD+C, is a construction program manager who fell in love with bartending while studying civil engineering at UT Austin. His many years of expeierience in construction management has shaped the way he builds cocktails. Like every building project, Watts starts every drink with the end in mind. He takes readers through the essentials of setting up an affordable home bar, procuring essential tools and spirits, and properly storing ingredients. He shares his three-step approach to building drinks: Preparation; mixing and finishing; presenting and serving. He also includes more than 50 drink recipes in this book. Some are his own recipes. Some are from other people. Some are updated versions of tried and true classics. By using Watts’ easy to follow process you will be the entertainer and craft master, leaving your guests talking for a long time about a truly great cocktail experience.
