Cartridges of South Coventry contains over 250 pages of pictures of cartridges and cartridge boxes manufactured by Crittenden & Tibbals, H.W. Mason, Phoenix Metallic Cartridge Co. and American Metallic Cartridge Co. in the 1800’s. The story begins with biographical sketches of the key players involved in the manufacture, the water way that supplied the power, relative U.S. patents, typical cartridge characteristics; pre-metalic, rim fire, center fire cartridges, blasting caps and “bottle cases.”
