ORIGINALLY IN GENESIS IT WAS ‘GODS’ NOT ‘GOD’
The original Hebrew is: “In the beginning Elohim [which literal translation is ‘Gods’] created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1) In time “Gods” evolved into “God” as the Hebrew religion evolved in monotheism.
