General information on the Mediterranean diet, traditional Greek food, the elements of Greek food and many recipes – mainly from Daphne who is at Hotel Votsala on Lesbos – under the headings methezes, vegetable dishes, meat, fish and seafood as well as sweets and desserts. The book contains over 400 colour photos and those illustrating the recipes are not ‘arty’ food pictures but rather ‘working’ photos showing the food being prepared during cooking classes. As the hotel is on Lesvos there is an Appendix with a short description of this island.
