Description
Covid-19 has paused the travel plans of Anglophiles all over the world. We find ourselves cut off from the place we love the most – Britain – it’s culture, it’s history, and it’s landscape. But we can still go there in our minds. Out of this deep well of longing for Britain, the Anglophile Vignettes were born.
This book is a series of vignettes about people, things, and places in Britain. Some are very short; some are quite a bit longer. Some of them were originally published on Anglotopia.net.; the rest were written specifically for this special little book, and you can’t read them anywhere else.
Each little scene or story is like a meditation on something lovely about Britain. Almost like prayers – the prayers that we’re all having, hoping that we can all return to the country we love so much as soon as possible. It’s still going to be a while. So, I want you to have this collection of memories, stories, and experiences to help take you there in your mind until you can go in person again.
