About the Author
Jim Supica has served as the Director of the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia. He has authored or co-authored numerous firearm books, articles, and columns, including The Illustrated History of Firearms, 2nd Edition. He has been featured as a firearms expert in television appearances and has worked as a firearms dealer, consultant, appraiser, and expert witness. Supica has served on the NRA Board of Directors and is past president of the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association and Missouri Valley Arms Collectors Association. A native Kansan, he holds a Juris Doctorate and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kansas.
